Key member of project to change the Bank’s culture, aid and guide users to find weaknesses in their areas. Agreed with users the impact and priority scores and presented the package to London on a very tight timetable. Consolidate a high number of risk related weaknesses from the new system and across two older systems.

• · Main success was in carrying out full audit programs over a two-year period in a rapidly changing environment. The department had a major impact in the way many departments were controlled, most notably Billing and Marketing.
• Introduced risk based auditing into H3G. Responsible for formulating audit plan primarily based on the risk profile. Two audit teams reported into me; Financial and Computer Audit, with a total approved headcount of six.
• Supplier reviews and fraud enquiries yielded savings in excess of £1million in 2003. These were made possible by good relations between the Audit function and the rest of the business.
• Responsible for corporate insurance, generating cost savings in excess of £2m over a five-year period.

· Responsible for all audits of Hutchison Ports in the Western Hemisphere, these are located in the UK, Bahamas, Panama, Holland, Argentina, Mexico, Pakistan and Africa.

· Introduced risk based auditing into Hutchison Whampoa via Orange (UK), Orange (Israel) and Orange (Australia).

· Other areas reviewed included, Water businesses, Retail and Property.

· Headcount of eight staff.

• UK based with major reviews of Ports and Telecomms.
• I spent a year as Head of IT getting the Service Provider computer installation working efficiently. Managed some 25 staff.

• VP Computer Operations Reviews EMEA. Teams managed up to 5 people. Made redundant in January 1992 when the bank merged audit units.

• Lead computer audit manager, then senior manager for Barclays Bank and Sears (UK) plus numerous smaller clients. Direct teams of up to 20 staff for the larger reviews. Sears - sold and directed the largest computer security review PW had undertaken.

• Computer Audit Manager reviewing downstream and retail operations.
